What We’re Doing:
- We’re wrapping up our Fall fertilization stragglers
- Planning our dormant seeding to help lawns recover from this Fall drought
What You Can Be Doing:
- Water as much and as late as you can.
- No need worry about disease and watering timing this time of year. Water whenever you can.
- “Too much” is when the water is running off (down the street or sidewalks) but that will be hard to do when we’re this dry and all plants are sucking moisture.
- Watch for freezes! We don’t want any burst pipes or damaged sprinklers.
- When soil temperatures go below 40* is when it becomes too late to be watering (it’s not doing anything)
- Plug your zip code in here to monitor
- Consider Dormant Seeding
- “If you haven’t kept up with watering during the fall drought, you are right to expect the worst next spring.” – Sam Bauer
